• Why a national recruiting website?

Thirty years ago major college football coaches used to subscribe to every major daily newspaper in the country to keep up with the high school athletes. To gain knowledge of athletes in every part of the country has been virtually impossible.

In the 21st century and with the technology available we can now manage data in ways never before possible.

Everyone knows where the elite athletes are, but all the athletes in every part of the country deserve to be recognized and given the chance to find an academic and athletic situation that is right for them to pursue their goals.

College coaches now don't have to rely on old methods and habits. They can explore new areas of the country and expand their schools influence and familiarity.

• Why can only coaches and administrators post information?

No matter who initiates the recruiting process, eventually it will pass through the high schools. The athletic directors, principals, guidance counselors, and coaches will be directly involved in providing information on athletes.

We feel that a more reliable profile can be obtained when presented by school officials.

• Why can only college coaches have access to the recruiting information database?

One of the main objectives is the security of all the high school age athletes posted on our website. Being able to control who has access to the information provided by the schools is part of that process. Too many times sports agents and overzealous boosters have ruined an athlete's and also team's goals and reputations. By closing the website we hope to eliminate those situations.

Also, the protection of the athletes from other sources of danger in the form of individuals who may be able to harm them will be greatly reduced by a closed website.

In the case of other high school coaches viewing other teams' players, some coaches will put a lot of information on about their team, some less. We do not want to give an unfair "scouting" opportunity to one coach over another in potential opponents.

• What information is legally allowed to post?

Coaches and administrators are invited to click on the FERPA link on the website to review the act. We believe all the information that is given space on the website is covered by FERPA. We also invite coaches, parents and administrators to discuss what information they want to be posted. Every area of the country has different standards. Coaches need to understand their community and the parents and athletes wishes as to how much information is permissible.

Every item on the website has been presented on individual college questionnaires on their websites. So every item is of importance to at least several colleges.

• Can video be posted?

You will have the capability to post video of your athletes at an additional charge. Posting video will greatly increase our bandwidth and therefore need to be charged accordingly. Before posting video we suggest coaches prepare their video to provide the most useful visual information in the least amount of time to recruiters.

• Do I have to post all the information that is asked for?

No. The information that space is provided for is a compilation of many sources. All of the information is useful to some coaches. But preference differs between individual coaches and programs. Coaches can post as little or as much of the information they or their community decides is necessary.

• As a college coach, why should I subscribe to this website? How can I use this site to improve my recruiting?

A recruiter can plan their whole recruiting season from their office on their computer. From an individual's data, photos, contact numbers, and possibly video a coach can get a complete profile on dozens of athletes of interest.

Recruiters can use our website in a variety of ways. It can be used to do a general search and starting point for a geographic area or a position. It can also be used for a hard to fill specific position and need by a coach and team. Another advantage is that a coach who finds themselves on the road recruiting can use their wireless laptop to see might be of interest in that area.

Division 3 coaches or schools with smaller budgets will also find it useful. Instead of mass mailings to geographic areas or relying on postcards and online questionnaires, coaches can view potential student-athletes and target them in their mailings or add them to their call lists. Thereby reducing wasted time and postage.

Coaches in all divisions and sports can more efficiently use their time and financial resources.

• As a player, or a parent of a player, what advantages are there available to me at Premier Athletic Recruiting?

A section of the website is set up to assist you. Information on the recruiting process will be posted there to help guide you. Also, each college that subscribes with us has the opportunity to post information about their athletic program and school. So, if a school you are not familiar with contacts you, you can do some research.

In the future we will be adding articles and information that will help you become a better athlete and student. Everything to help you reach your goals at the next level.

• How secure is your website?

The safety of the athletes posted is of utmost importance. Having a closed website helps to reduce significantly any potential problems.

The web designers have designed websites for some of the most significant financial institutions in the country and will be using the same technology to safeguard both the financial information of our subscribers and the athletes' information.

As technology advances in security we will constantly be upgrading our system to be as safe and secure as possible.

• Will any professional agents or scouts be allowed to view the information posted?

Professional agents will not be allowed to view the information. However, scouts and people in the personnel department of professional teams that traditionally recruit high school athletes – hockey and baseball – may be allowed to participate as long as they abide by our philosophy.

This website was designed to help all the athletes. Therefore, we believe that to add this kind of participation by professional teams will only help many of our high school athletes reach their goals.
